According to rumors, Victor Osimhen is ‘convinced’ that he will join a Premier League team this summer, despite interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United. Osimhen was extensively linked with a move away from Napoli last summer after scoring 26 goals in 32 games, helping the Italian giants win the Serie A title in 2022/23.

Napoli priced the 25-year-old out of a transfer abroad last summer, but a leave is more plausible ahead of next season, given the club’s huge decline in 2023/24.

They ended 10th in Serie A, but Osimhen dazzled, scoring 15 goals in 25 league outings.

Osimhen signed a new contract that will last until 2026, but also includes a release clause worth approximately £101 million.

At the beginning of this year, Osimhen fueled leave rumors by revealing he had “already made his decision on his next step.”

“I’ve already decided on my next step at the end of the season. I’ve already made up my mind. I already have a strategy in place; I know what I want to do and what the next step will be.”

In a benefit for Osimhen, numerous top European teams are looking for a new striker this summer, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United mentioned as potential destinations. Earlier this week, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano stated that the striker’s “priority remains to leave Napoli this summer.”

“I’ve had some Chelsea fans approach me about Victor Osimhen again, as the story has been quiet recently. I still envision Osimhen departing, but at the present, everything is quiet, so we can only wait and see what happens,” Romano stated.

“Osimhen will meet with his agent in the coming days to consider all of his options and decide what is best for him. Osimhen’s objective remains to leave Napoli this summer; his plans have not changed. Arsenal have apparently chosen RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko as their major summer target, but they are not searching elsewhere because the 21-year-old has committed his future to the Bundesliga club by signing a new contract.

According to rumors in Italy, Osimhen is ‘waiting for the Premier League’, and Arsenal has’spoken to’ his agency about signing him. PSG and Saudi Pro League clubs are also mentioned in the article as possible destinations.
